Originally from northern Italy, thanks for organic breeding this variety also grows well and is productive in cooler regions. For better shelf life, only peel the nuts just prior to sowing. Bake or roast before eating. Bred by Sativa.
Loose, sandy soil is needed so that it can push its fruiting shoots into the ground. The nuts are sown individually. Cultivation in mounded rows recommended. Harvest the nuts from the ground as soon as the plants wilt. Dry for 1-2 weeks, then continue processing. Pre-cultivation in March increases the yield.
